lyrics

Paper In Brine

A poor wilted Rose, lies crushed to the ground,
Ravishing once, but now rotten bound,
Fleeting in scope, is all beauty’s hope,
For soon beauty fades, like echoes in sound.

Matter doesn’t matter,
It’s fallible and weak,
Just like some paper in brine,
Just like some paper in brine.

Night falls so fast, descends like a lie,
Choking the sun and choking the sky,
To leave shadows cast on all but the past,
For roses to clay, will turn by and by.

We are so fallible.
